LONDON, UK, Sep 12, 2014 – Holistic City Ltd have released CityCAD 2.6.10, the latest version of their conceptual city planning and masterplan analysis tool.
Summary of Key New Features Introduced Since CityCAD 2.5
New CityCAD Online Panel
The online panel gives you quick access to CityCAD online help articles and tutorials, an object library of urban spaces and buildings, quick access to the searchable database of real-world urban streets, spaces and housing projects, and also online analysis of your current model.
Mixed-used Floors in Buildings and Perimeter Blocks
If you want to include several land uses on a floor within a ‘Building’ or ‘Mixed-use Perimeter’ block, you can now create new land use subdivisions and specify a percentage of the floor for each one. All of the floor area data will then be totalled and accounted for in the usual way.
Variable Scope for Custom Parameters
For example, you can specify that a custom parameter such as ‘Road category’ should only be set for roads, and a parameter such as ‘HVAC system’ should only be applied to buildings.
CityCAD 2.6.10 also includes many stability and performance improvements, and a wider built-in library of block styles to make it quicker to get started.
New Single User Flexible Subscriptions
CityCAD continues to be available through ongoing subscription or perpetual (no-expiry) licenses. A new single-user license has been introduced, aimed at sole practitioners and designers/planners in smaller firms.
This starts at $79 / month (£49/month ex VAT in the UK), and is also available as an annual deal for $799 (or £499 ex VAT in the UK).
