Hexagon Manufacturing Launches HTA Measurement Solution

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has announced the extension of its HTA high throughput and accuracy solution range to ultra-high accuracy coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). The technology package is designed to integrate dimensional inspection more effectively into the production process by reducing measurement cycle times and providing rich data sets.

The HTA solutions are based on Hexagon’s patented HP-O optical interferometric sensor technology, which provides accurate high-speed non-contact scanning and enables dramatic reductions in the time required to measure complex parts with special geometries such as blisks, gears, camshafts, splines, synchro rings and clutch baskets. The sensor range includes six configurations to offer the right combination of inspection methods and part accessibility for the application. HTA solutions include a HP-O range sensor alongside a high-performance CMM with rotary table for simultaneous four-axis scanning, and the advanced QUINDOS metrology software. The new solutions offer rapid scanning and deliver measurement data in a timely manner, ideal for the increasing productivity goals of manufacturers in automotive, aerospace and other industries.

The launch of the HTA solutions range follows the release of the GLOBAL Advantage HTA platform for aeroengine blade measurement, which uses the HP-O Multi sensor to accurately verify blade characteristics including aerofoil, platform, root, shroud and other features.

HTA solutions are available to order worldwide from today through local Hexagon commercial operations and dealers.
