Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has announced the extension of its RC Line of retrofit controllers, designed to minimize the risk of machine downtime by extending the life of most coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) regardless of brand or age. The RC Line range allows operators with obsolete or non-upgradable controllers to maintain machine performance and enables upgrades to the latest CMM sensors and software.

The RC241 and RC4K controllers join the highly-successful RC1 controller to complete the product line and provide customers with a comprehensive solution that can revitalize CMMs from a wide range of current and non-active providers. Each controller is able to smoothly interface with any CMM automatically with its revolutionary R-Tune technology. The RC Line of controllers vary in terms of output wattage to cater for different customer performance requirements and are fully compatible with all software and sensors available on new Hexagon CMMs with DC controllers. A large network of global service teams provide professional support before, during, and after the retrofit installation.
