Handibot Smart Power Tool v2.0 Adventure Edition Launched

Sized to fit on a desktop and easily carried to any work site, the Handibot Smart Power Tool v2.0 Adventure Edition enables wood cutting, carving, and milling; it can also be used to cut MDF, plastics, foam, and aluminum with engraving-level precision and impressive power.

Jeanne Taylor, ShopBot’s director of Marketing, explained what’s new “The Adventure Edition gives you new freedom to travel and work anywhere: you can take the Handibot on the road and run it from any WiFi-enabled device such as a smartphone or tablet – even when no WiFi signal is available.” This freedom to roam and make anywhere is enabled by the debut in the Adventure Edition of the revolutionary control software, FabMo. FabMo allows you to use Handibot utility apps to make projects and run simple jobs – without requiring knowledge of CAD and CAM software. “this new edition of the Handibot is all about making the process of creating easier,” said Taylor.

The Handibot Smart Power Tool Adventure Edition is available for purchase at handibot.com. lead developer Brian Owen noted, “There are cool accessories available for the Handibot as well. For example, you can do 3D carving with the Handbook Rotary Axis.” You can use the Laser Sight to align your tool for quick hole cutting, the Large Material Indexing Jig to cut larger materials, up to a 4′ x 8′ sheet; and cut paper and vinyl using a Drag Knife bit.
