Fuel3D Scanner Bundled with Ultimaker 2 3D Printer

fuel3dOXFORD, UK, Sep 3, 2014 – Fuel3D, developer of 3D scanning solutions, today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Ultimaker that will see the company’s groundbreaking 3D scanner offered as part of a bundle deal including the Ultimaker 2 3D printer to customers in the United Kingdom.

The agreement will see the companies offering the bundle deal to customers via their websites and through both companies’ direct sales teams in the UK, starting in October 2014.

Since launching its first 3D printer in 2011, Ultimaker has quickly established itself as a prominent player in the burgeoning 3D printing market.

Fuel 3D Technologies raised over $300,000 for the development of an affordable, high resolution handheld 3D scanner through a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. Earlier this year, the company announced a $2.6 million investment from syndicate of private investors, led by Chimera Partners. The company is currently working to fulfil Kickstarter orders, with full commercial availability of the scanner slated for later this year.
