Flow Science Releases FLOW-3D v11.2

FlowScience_logoSANTA FE, NM, Nov 30, 2016 – Flow Science announced the release of FLOW-3D version 11.2, its flagship CFD software known for robustness and accuracy in solving free-surface flow problems. This release includes major new features, significant advances in solver performance as well as added user convenience features and performance improvements in the user interface. Featured developments include the expanded particle model, the new dynamic droplet model and interactive geometry creation.

“Our continuous goal at Flow Science is to develop new CFD capabilities coupled with user conveniences and solver performance. With this release, not only are we offering some great new modeling options, but users will experience an improved simulation workflow due to improvements like a more robust pressure solver, CAD geometry tolerance handling, and faster graphics,” said John Ditter, VP of Software Engineering.

Other key models and improvements to the solver and GUI include:

  • FSI/TSE model enhancements
  • Improved GMRES convergence control
  • Processing geometry improvements
  • Component gap control
  • FlowSight performance optimizations
