Excitech DOCS Launched for Construction

LONDON, UK, Sep 15, 2017 – Excitech, the UK leader in technology and services for the construction sector, announced the launch of its new document management solution Excitech DOCS at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, London.

Designed to support BIM Level 2 standards and procedures, Excitech DOCS simplifies, de-risks, and accelerates the complex processes involved in design, inter-company collaboration, and associated document control. It enables more effective day to day revision control, Xref management, transmittals and work-set management.

Built on top of M-Files, a solution ranked by Forrester as a leading Enterprise Content Management Solution, Excitech DOCS features preconfigured functionality which includes AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit integration and Outlook integration. The solution also supports PAS 1192 and BS 1192 workflows.

This new multi-platform solution (supported on iOS, Android and Windows Phone) adds further capabilities to Excitech’s wide portfolio of solutions for the construction sector.

David Hughes, managing director at Excitech said “We spent many hours talking with our customers about the day-to-day document associated processes they felt needed to be improved. There was an overwhelming response about the complexity and pure tedium of aspects like transmittals and problems that arise when teams aren’t always entirely sure they’re working on correct and up-to-date document versions. We designed Excitech DOCS with these considerations in mind and we’re convinced it will make a big difference to our customers in terms of efficiency and cost savings.”

Excitech DOCS can be deployed in four days, significantly shortening the industry norm of six to eight weeks to implement a document management solution.
