EON Reality developed EON Creator AVR, and its companion product EON Experience AVR, specifically to target the growing need for Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality in the classroom. With the AR/VR market slated to reach $150 Billion Dollars by 2020, content creation, especially in non-gaming areas, needs to become streamlined so that non-programmers can address the market’s needs.

“It’s clear that as the market grows there will be a voracious demand for new content, especially in areas such as K-12 education, medical training, and maintenance repair operation,” said Dan Lejerskar, chairman of EON Reality. “By building a tool that allows a teacher, with no programming knowledge, to bring their lessons to life through AR and VR will go a long way to address this. On top of that, EON Creator AVR will turn learning into discovery through its gamified lessons. We’re honored that the Laval Virtual jury awarded us this honor.”

EON Creator AVR’s do-it-yourself content creation capabilities meets this head on by combining a large AR/VR component library with an assessment database to create one-of-a-kind gamified learning experiences.

“It means a lot to our team that we’ve been granted this award,” said Jan Kjallstrom, VP of product development at EON Reality. “Many sleepless nights and cups of coffee went into the creation of this application, but in the end it was worth it. We feel we’ve created an entirely new way for students to learn and teachers to teach. This is the kind of experience I wish I had when I was in school and am excited that my children can learn this way.”

This is the second year in a row that EON Reality won an award from the Laval Virtual jury. EyeSim took home an award last year in the engineering, construction and training section.
