e-Xstream’s Digimat Recognized as R&D 100 Award Finalist

MSC_Logo_portoNEWPORT BEACH, CA, Sep 8, 2016 – e-Xstream engineering, an MSC Software company announced that Digimat, the multi-scale material modeling platform, was selected as a finalist for the R&D 100 Award 2016. e-Xstream engineering developed Digimat Virtual Allowable (VA), – a breakthrough software solution using advanced technology, embedded in a vertical solution – to boost the usage of lightweight material in the transportation area to drive down fuel consumption and CO2 emission.

“We’ve been developing Digimat to become synonymous for innovation in material engineering. After winning the JEC and CAMX awards in 2014 and 2015, we’re very proud to be selected as a finalist for the R&D 100. Winning this award will provide us with the recognition for more than 13 years of Digimat development.” says Dr Roger Assaker, CEO of e-Xstream engineering and chief material strategist of MSC Software.

This R&D 100 Award recognizes the top 100 technologically significant products introduced in the past year. The Finalists were selected by an independent panel of more than 70 judges. This year’s Finalists represent many of industry’s leading organizations and national laboratories, as well as many newcomers to the R&D 100 Awards. They are often referred to as the “Oscars of Invention.”
