Dexter + Chaney Updates Spectrum Construction Software

dexterSEATTLE, WA, Jan 26, 2017 – Dexter + Chaney, the leader in cloud-based construction ERP software, is excited to show a number of new features and enhancements to its Spectrum Construction Software at the AHR Expo in Las Vegas January 30 through February 1, 2017 (Booth #N11314 at the Las Vegas Convention Center).

Among the new features are an open API environment that allows virtually any other software package the ability to easily integrate with Spectrum; the powerful Spectrum Talent Management solution which includes employee recruiting, onboarding, training, human resources collaboration and succession planning; deeper levels of business intelligence, data analysis and reporting; and of special interest to AHR attendees, the new Spectrum Service Tech solution.

Spectrum Service Tech is a complete mobile service management tool, designed in the cloud that extends service management and work order capabilities to the field. Service Tech empowers field technicians by giving them access to more data and tools in the field—in real time. Using their tablet devices, technicians can see all work orders assigned to them, read, update and create notes related to their task, access historical data about equipment or service sites, request purchase orders, manage parts inventory, access maps, collect electronic signatures, upload and share photos, and email service reports straight from the field.

Thanks to Service Tech’s responsive user interface, it adapts to the mobile device the technicians use in the field. A simple, touch-based interface, meanwhile, simplifies navigation and makes Service Tech incredibly easy to use, allowing technicians to focus on their work, not figuring out how to use the application.

And Service Tech is tightly integrated with the rest of Spectrum’s features and functionality, meaning that data is immediately visible to the back office when entered by the technician, leading to quicker billings and preventing the loss of data that can sometimes occur with traditional field service processes.

“Service Tech was designed to significantly streamline the amount of administrative work technicians have typically had to do while in the field to ensure their jobs were being performed—and billed—correctly,” said Dexter + Chaney vice president of Strategy, Scott Rosenbloom. “By taking advantage of the cloud, automating these processes, and tying it directly back to Spectrum, technicians can better focus on what they do best—delivering quality maintenance and repairs to keep their customers happy.”

Dexter + Chaney will also be giving away rubber balls with a specific URL where attendees can enter to win an iPad. AHR attendees are encouraged to stop by Dexter + Chaney’s booth to get their free entry.
