As well as providing a comprehensive suite of shoe design tools, the website provides a series of video tutorials to guide users through the various stages of footwear design, including the selection of materials and textures, the choice and placing of stitching, and the incorporation of accessories such as buckles and laces.

All entries for the competition must be placed on the Delcam CRISPIN website by December 31. The entries will be judges by a panel of shoe designers, fashion experts and specialists in 3D design and printing.

“Our goal with the competition is to ignite the creativity and innovation in the next generation of 3D footwear professionals by giving designers the opportunity to use our 3D software to turn their original ideas into finished designs,” explained Chris Lawrie. “All types of design are welcome as entries – men’s dress shoes, ladies court shoes, sports shoes or even extreme fashion footwear – we are to looking to find the most innovative design imaginable.”
