Datacomp Ships BIM Vision Freeware IFC Model Viewer

Datacomp_logoKRAKOW, Poland, Jan 29, 2015 – Datacomp Ltd. has announced the release of its newest software – BIM Vision – a freeware IFC model viewer. It allows one to view the virtual models coming from CAD systems like Revit, Archicad, Advance, DDS CAD, Tekla, Nemetschek VectorWorks, Bentley, and others without requiring a commercial license or having each of the vendor’s viewer. BIM Vision enables users to view the BIM models created in IFC format 2×3. It has many built-in features and it is the first viewer with the possibility of writing a plug-in within the BIM Vision platform.

New plug-ins and applications extend the functionality of the viewer according to user needs. Datacomp also provides developers with an access to the SDK, allowing them write a plug-in and to put the apps in the BIM Vision store (store.bimvision.eu) for purchase.

“The developer now has the ability to use our platform for creating his own apps, not caring about the graphical interface and importing IFC models. We think it could be a wonderful tool for designers, engineers and for developers a possibility to earn some money,” says Maciej Wojtasiewicz, VP of the company. More at www.bimvision.eu.
