connectCAD 2017 Released

connectcad_logoSTOCKPORT, UK, Nov 4, 2016 – connectCAD, the connected systems design tool for Vectorworks, just released its 2017 version. Famous among AV designers around the world, connectCAD expedites your work flow from concept drawings, layouts and schematics to reports and bill of materials, cutting down design time by half and avoiding costly mistakes.

It’s pretty intuitive, easy to make a device and easy to link devices, and obviously beyond there you can put in your own connector types and signal types and expand from there. I produce a connectCAD data plan which shows pretty much what we’re doing in every show, it is always in the drawing file and it just saves a lot of problems and a lot of time”

With the new Cable Labels Setup feature, designers can easily create cable labels as simple or as complicated as needed, and make print-ready worksheets with color-coded Cable Numbers for easy visibility.

The Convert Report to List command, converts Vectorworks database worksheets to spreadsheets; to ‘freeze’ a cable list at a particular point in the design process or to create a list suitable to compare with a drawing or to regenerate a drawing from the list.

connectCAD 2017 allows more precision, speed, and convenience in connected system design.

connectCAD is available in English & German. Each license includes a free upgrade for the next version of Vectorworks plus one year of Level 1 support.
