CADimensions Partners with Desktop Metal

EAST SYRACUSE, NY, May 25, 2017 – CADimensions announced they have added the Desktop Metal line of metal 3D printers to their product offerings. Effective immediately, CADimensions will be selling and servicing Desktop Metal printers to Upstate New York, Metro New York, Pennsylvania and Greater New England.

Desktop Metal is a company committed to making metal 3D printing accessible and affordable for engineering and manufacturing. The Desktop Metal product offering currently consists of two state-ofthe-art systems, the DM Studio System and the DM Production System.

The Studio System is the world’s first office-friendly metal 3D printing system and is designed to be safe for an office setting without hazardous powders, dangerous lasers or the need for ventilation equipment – just power and an internet connection. The Studio System is also as much as 10 times less expensive than laser powder bed fusion alternatives. The Studio System is a complete end-to-end system, including printer, debinder and furnace, meaning there is no third party equipment required.

The Production System is the first metal 3D printing system for mass production, delivering the speed, quality and the cost-per-part needed to compare with traditional manufacturing processes. Desktop Metal’s Single Pass Jetting (SPJ) is a proprietary technology that allows the Production System to be up to 100 times faster than laser-based systems. The Production System is ideal for the production of complex, high-performance metal parts at high volumes. It can outperform traditional manufacturing processes like casting while adding the major benefits of additive manufacturing like just-in-time production and mass customization.
