ILHAVO, Portugal, July 11, 2014 – BEEVERYCREATIVE, the first Portuguese 3D printer manufacturer, launched BEESOFT 3.9.0 (beta).
The major update included in this beta version is the addition of the standalone function – the first step to make full use of BEETHEFIRST’s connectivity, as announced earlier.

Standalone allows BEETHEFIRST to print without being connected to a computer, which represents a significant improvement in user freedom/autonomy.
The noteworthy features in this version are:
- New “Autonomous” option which, once printing has begun, enables users to disconnect the USB cable and close BEESOFT without interrupting the printing process;
- Should BEETHEFIRST be printing autonomously, all the user has to do is to reconnect the USB cable in order to immediately regain control over the printing status, view how much time is remaining, progress percentage or cancel the printing process;
- Larger click area for model manipulation options: scale, move and rotate. It’s now possible to select an element by clicking on its name.
Despite the development this update represents, there are still some aspects to optimize, as is to be expected from a beta version. User opinion is important to us, so we’d like to hear from users by sending in suggestions to make BEESOFT even better.
Their development is now focused on making sure the following features are ready for launch soon:
- Print pause option;
- Estimate of printing time and of object weight before each print;
- Implement BEETHEFIRST’s Wi-Fi connectivity to allow full user autonomy.
