cce_logoFARMINGTON HILLS, MI, Apr 28, 2015 – CCE, a leading engineering software and services provider, announced that it has successfully renewed its multi-year, enterprise-wide CAD interoperability agreement with Autodesk.

“Autodesk is a world leader in 3D design software for manufacturing, engineering, construction, and entertainment, and has developed a broad portfolio of 3D CAD software programs to help users explore design ideas, visualize concepts, and simulate how designs will perform in the real world. We have been providing interoperability technology to Autodesk for a number of years. We are very delighted to have renewed this partnership for the next several years. Working for an organization like Autodesk is a matter of great pride for us, and our continued partnership is testament to the robustness of our interoperability solutions and our technical expertise in this domain,” said CCE’s vice president of sales and marketing, Vinay Wagle.

Autodesk licenses CCE’s CATIA V4 (read), CATIA V5 (read & write), Siemens NX (read & write), and SOLIDWORKS (read) libraries for use within the Autodesk enterprise across multiple product lines.

Autodesk’s senior vice president, design, lifecycle & simulation, Buzz Kross, added “Autodesk is a leader in product design and manufacturing technology that is used in the automotive, aerospace, commercial & recreational vehicles, building products, equipment & fabrication, consumer products, and industrial equipment industries. Our investments in cutting-edge, cloud-based applications, like Fusion 360 and PLM 360, have enabled our global user base to seamlessly collaborate to develop innovative products faster, with reduced costs. Robust multi-CAD data interoperability is critical for successful collaboration.  CCE has been a strategic partner to Autodesk in providing key CAD interoperability solutions for several years now. CCE’s ability to constantly keep their software updated with latest CAD versions, enhancements to meet new customer requirements, and their knowledgeable and fast technical support is what has made this relationship successful.”

CCE provides software development tools for engineering application providers to access native 3D CAD data in their applications, without investing in software or licenses of the CAD systems that produced the data. CCE uses its own proprietary technology for these development toolkits and does not base it on any third-party application/component. CCE’s development tools are seasoned, well-architected, and helps achieve complete CAD interoperability with very little effort. They are very robust and currently being used not only internally for CCE products, but also by a number of leading MCAD software ISVs (Independent Software Vendor). Applications developed using CCE’s development tools are independent of any form of CAD software or licensing.
