Autodesk Construction Solutions has launched a free 15-minute online assessment allowing contractors and subs from the field to the back office to get a sense of how they are performing internally and against industry competitors as measured by seven key performance indicators (KPI). Firms use KPIs to estimate the performance of their employees as well as their own success at meeting operational goals.

The seven KPIs used in the assessment were identified in the Autodesk-Dodge Data Report published last November. Here is a high-level overview. A challenge facing construction companies and the industry writ large is a lack of a standard set of commonly used and accepted benchmarks, or KPIs, except for the Experience Modification Rate (EMR).
