Assemble Insight Updated for AEC Professionals

The integration of 2D and 3D within Insight was first revealed at the Assemble Systems Advisory Board Meeting at Autodesk University in November. The Assemble advisory board consists of key industry professionals from top contractors in the AEC industry that help guide the product roadmap by providing valuable feedback and professional insight. “We work closely with our customers to deliver innovative solutions that focus on improving processes and expanding the use of the models across different roles and project lifecycle,” said Mark Klusza, CIO, Assemble Systems. “We take a collaborative approach to prioritizing the enhancements we deliver to our valued customers. We wanted to make it easier for the project team to fully understand every aspect of a project by enabling access to all types of documents including 2D, 3D and model information in an all inclusive easy-to-use environment. According to our customers with this latest enhancement, we are delivering just that.”

The reaction to the integration at the board meeting and Autodesk University was excellent. The customers were impressed with how easily they were able to navigate between the 2D documents and 3D models. “By providing instant access to relevant sheets and providing 3D context, we are bridging the gap between the BIM/VDC team, estimating departments and the field teams,” said Howard Davis, CEO, Assemble Systems. “The ability to access objects and their attributes from either the model or the 2D drawings without leaving Assemble is a huge benefit and shows how Assemble is focusing on interoperability across systems and project teams.”

AEC professionals can get a look at the integration in an upcoming Assemble webinar on December 15, 2016 at 1PM Central.
