As a rapidly growing engineering and architecture firm, American Structurepoint’s IT operations team faced a common challenge – how to efficiently deliver graphics-intensive applications, like AutoCAD, to their end users’ desktops at remote locations without deploying infrastructure at each location.
American Structurepoint chose XenServer to run XenDesktop and NVIDIA GRID vGPU cards to deliver their end users’ desktops across their WAN. As American Structurepoint scaled their Citrix environment across their remote locations, their IT Director discovered that the monitoring solution in use, SolarWinds, was unable to gather sufficient data from the network, needed to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues before end users were affected.
