AMC Bridge Updates Revit to Kineo

WALTHAM, MA, Apr 11, 2019 – Conducting extensive research into integration of CAD systems with domain-specific libraries, AMC Bridge continues to deliver high-quality solutions for the industry. Their latest Revit to Kineo technology demonstration of interfacing the main Autodesk Revit system with the Siemens Kineo software is developed to present a potential solution to path planning problems.

Using Autodesk Revit to set up a path planning problem within a CAD geometric scene, and using Siemens Kineo to compute a path for moving an object within a building, Revit to Kineo then exports the computed path to Revit and shows its 3D animation. With this technology demonstration, the user can select an object to move and obstacles to bypass, set up the start and end points of the path, compute, modify, or smoothen the path, and visualize the object being moved along the path in a 3D animation.
