Altem to Sell MSC Products in India

AltemTechnologies_logoBENGALURU, India, May 26, 2015 – Altem Technologies, one of the pioneers of bringing 3D printing technology to India, stepped up its presence in simulation solution by becoming the authorized reseller of MSC Software in India.

MSC_logoWith this agreement, Altem expands its product portfolio to include enterprise simulation solutions including simulation software and services. MSC Software’s products, which is used by leading automotive OEMS, aerospace & defense companies, Tier 1 suppliers and machinery OEMs, helps save time and reduce costs associated with design and test of manufactured products. MSC’s solutions helps to predict accurately and reliably how products will behave in the real world to help engineers design more innovative products – quickly and cost effectively.

“With the new Government in India there is an immense thrust in the area of R&D and making innovative products, thus it is important that MSC is able to expand its reach into newer geographies and industry verticals. Altem will open new opportunities for MSC in India, especially in the SMB industry segment. I expect this partnership to grow stronger in the future and wish Altem all the success.” said Eric Favre, vice president, MSC Software APAC.

In certain cases, MSC Software’s best-in-class solutions can even replace the physical prototype “build and test” process that has traditionally been used in product design. These new product development processes are now preferred in every automotive, machinery, energy, infrastructure, consumer products, medical devices, and other engineering companies. The software is crucial in today’s world as product development teams face more pressure to develop innovative products in a shorter amount of time.

“In-spite of the advent of newer technologies, the product designs will continue to get more complex while time to complete them will stay competitive. MSC Software’s Industry leading tools will play a crucial role in virtual prototyping and validation of these complex designs, thereby reducing the time to market. We are happy to get associated with MSC Software and look forward to increasing our footsteps in Indian CAE industry,” said Sharath Chandra S, business development manager & co-founder, Altem Technologies.

Altem, in partnership with MSC Software, will offer and support the complete portfolio of MSC Software’ products like MSC Nastran, Adams, Actran, Digimat, Dytran, Sinda, Easy5, Marc, Patran, MaterialCenter, Apex, SimDesigner, SimManager and SimXpert. Altem will also offer the MasterKey Plus tokens from MSC software. The capabilities of some of these leading tools include:

  • MSC Nastran: the world’s most trusted FE solver for structural analysis in the field of linear statics and dynamics
  • MSC Adams: the world’s most widely used Multibody Dynamics (MBD) software to study the dynamics of moving parts, how loads & forces are distributed throughout mechanical systems
  • MSC Apex: the next generation CAE technology that is set to change the way engineers work on FEA
  • Actran: a complete acoustic simulation software solution for the calculation of acoustic, acoustic vibration & acoustic flow problems
  • Patran: an interactive pre and post processor generating Finite Element models. Patran connects the CAD world with analysis programs and has interfaces to all MSC solvers
  • SimXpert: a solution for multidisciplinary simulations and automation of proven CAE methods
