Altair UK Technology Conference Draws 250+ Attendees

Eleven high quality technical presentations represented a broad range of industries including aerospace, automotive and consumer goods. Topics included optimization, design for additive manufacturing, predicting real world impact scenarios, CFD, and more. Keynote speakers from Jaguar Land Rover, Airbus, and BLOODHOUND SSC discussed their vision for the industry and the importance of technology in supporting innovation.

Andy Richardson’s, Head of Simulation, Jaguar Land Rover presentation showcased the launch of 50 new products, due to be released within the next 5 years. Matthew Orchard, vice president, head of Airframe Engineering Competence Center, Airbus UK, spoke about how technology is being used for commercial aerospace evolution. Richard Noble OBE, project director, Bloodhound SSC presented the latest challenges and achievements on the supersonic car set to break the land speed record at 1,000mph and detailed Altair’s involvement with this groundbreaking project.

This year’s technical presentations came from Airbus, Assystem, BMW, Gestamp, Jaguar Land Rover, Plaxton, RUAG Space, Sahara Force India and Vertu. The presentations described how each company is utilizing Altair’s software and service solutions to increase product performance and to reduce time to market.
