Allplan Appoints Richard Brotherton as Managing Director

Allplan_logoMUNICH, Germany, Feb 14, 2017 – ALLPLAN, a leading European manufacturer and vendor of open BIM (building information modeling) solutions for the AECOM industry, announced Richard Brotherton (45) as new managing director, effective February 1, 2017. He has assumed the new tasks of Michael Koid, who has left the company. Richard Brotherton is reporting to the Nemetschek Group Executive Board.

Richard Brotherton brings more than 25 years of experience in software for the international construction industry, most recently serving as senior vice president at AVEVA, a supplier of engineering software solutions and services. Prior to this, he was managing and sales director at AceCad Software Ltd, a company that operated in the CAD/CAM and information and communications technologies sector of the global construction industry.

Richard Brotherton grew up in South Africa and in the United Kingdom and holds a degree in civil engineering from Plymouth University (UK). In private he enjoys keeping fit and playing rugby. He is married and has four children.
