SYCODE Releases 20 Import/Export Plug-Ins for Bricscad
PANAJI,
GOA, India, Feb 5, 2009 - SYCODE today launched twenty file import and
export plug-ins for Bricscad.
"Bricscad is able to read and write DWG, DXF and SAT files only",
explains Deelip Menezes, Founder and CEO of SYCODE. "In a multi CAD
environment, this puts Bricscad users at a disadvantage. With these twenty
data exchange plug-ins, we intend to give Bricscad users the power to
effectively exchange their CAD data with users of other CAD software.”
“The plug-ins developed by SYCODE are a very important extension for our
customers”, says Erik De Keyser, CEO of Bricsys. “They enhance the Bricsys
strategy of providing a broad range of applications to our customers. Since
a year we are in contact with SYCODE and we hope this is the first step of a
long lasting collaboration. I’m sure SYCODE and Bricsys can be very
complementary.”
The Bricscad plug-ins that are being released today are very different
from the other IntelliCAD plug-ins that SYCODE currently offers. They have
been written from scratch using the superior DRX technology that has made
Bricscad one of the most powerful and stable DWG alternatives available in
the market today. The plug-ins are designed to work with the Professional as
well as Classic version of Bricscad V8 and V9.
“This DRX technology is fantastic”, exclaims Deelip Menezes. “The best
part is the intelligent use of smart pointers, whereby programmers are
relieved of the duty of freeing memory after it has been allocated by the
plug-in code. Memory is released automatically when it is no longer
required. This greatly reduces the risk of a plug-in crashing while trying
to access an invalid memory location or due to a memory overflow. This is
giant leap forward and a sign of things to come.”
The twenty data exchange plug-ins are comprised of twelve import and
eight export plug-ins.
The import plug-ins are:
The export plug-ins are:
All plug-ins are priced at $95 each and are available as fully functional
10 day/run trials. Each product comes with an installer and detailed
documentation in the form of a compiled HTML help file which contains a
step-by-step tutorial to get the end user started in the shortest possible
time.
