Surfware Expands R&D, Programming Staff
CAMARILLO,
CA, Sep 18, 2008 -Surfware, Inc., developer of SURFCAM Velocity
CAD/CAM systems Powered by TrueMill, today announced that Nolan Snell has
joined Surfware as a Senior Software Developer and Maurice McKay has joined
the firm as a R&D Engineer. Both will focus on ongoing enhancements to
Surfware’s patented TrueMill technology and will report directly to Stephen
Diehl, President and CEO of Surfware.
Snell has a long career in the software industry. He has a Master's
Degree in Geophysics/Computer Science from Northwestern University in
Evanston, Illinois, a Master's Degree in Physics from Eastern Kentucky
University in Richmond, Kentucky and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from
Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond Kentucky.
McKay is a recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics and Applied
Mathematics. While attending Loyola Marymount, Maurice was a Research
Assistant in the Physics and Math Departments.
“We are very pleased that Nolan and Maurice have joined our expanding
programming and research staff,” says Diehl. “With their strong physics and
math backgrounds, they will contribute to the body of research behind
TrueMill and help in making TrueMill easier to use as well as more versatile
for all types of parts, metals and machines.”
Besides adding McKay and Snell to the technical staff, in the past
several months, Surfware has hired two additional senior programmers, Ismael
Guerra and Igor Luzanov. “The technical excellence of our programming staff
is taking Surfware to the forefront of CAM software,” says Diehl. “In
October, we are releasing a world-class version of our CAM software, SURFCAM
Velocity 4, and we have an exciting product roadmap for the year ahead.”
