RedEye Bonus Pack Offers Instant Quotes, Orders for AutoCAD
LAS
VEGAS, NV, Dec 9, 2008 - RedEye, a business unit of Stratasys (NASDQ:
SSYS), announced at Autodesk University (AU) 2008 in Las Vegas last week -
that AutoCAD users can now order digitally manufactured prototypes and
production parts quickly and easily through a new on-demand 3D printing
capability.
AutoCAD 2009 subscription customers now have access to this new
functionality via a new bonus pack. Included in the new bonus pack is
on-line ordering capability, giving designers and engineers the ability to
get instant quotes and place orders from a trusted vendor - all from their
desktop.
"This new capability will help designers save time and cut costs which
are crucial in the product development cycle," said Wayne Olson, Vice
President of RedEye by Stratasys. "With companies constantly striving to get
products to market faster, we are delighted to work with Autodesk to further
improve the productivity of AutoCAD users."
Having the ability to get models quickly enables designers to review
concepts with team members and customers, a significant advantage to getting
products to market quicker. When designers place their order, they can
select RedEye's Overnight Build, and get their models delivered the next
day.
"Designers in nearly every industry will benefit from this new version of
AutoCAD because it's easy to go from idea to 3D design to functional
prototype," said Tim Thellin, RedEye Product Manager. "We understand that
our customer's needs differ across industries. With RedEye, the user may
choose to print their 3D model with RedEye On Demand for mechanical AutoCAD
designers, or RedEye ARC (www.redeyearc.com)
customized for designers in the architectural and residential building
fields."
