John Fox Joins Siemens PLM as VP of Solid Edge Marketing
Fox previously PTC director of product and marketing strategy
PLANO,
TX, Sep 27, 2010 - Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry
Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle
management (PLM) software and services, today announced John Fox has joined the
company as vice president of Marketing for the Velocity Series portfolio of PLM
solutions for the mid-market, effective August 16. In this role, Fox reports to
Karsten Newbury, senior vice president and general manager, Velocity Series, and
is responsible for defining, planning and executing the worldwide marketing
strategy for all Velocity Series software products which include Solid Edge
software, Teamcenter Express software, Femap software and CAM Express.

Leadership success; technology experience
Fox brings to the Velocity Series team extensive experience in management,
software product strategy and marketing, with a strong technical foundation. He
joins Siemens PLM Software from Parametric Technology Corporation (“PTC”), where
he was most recently director of Product and Marketing Strategy. Fox came to PTC
as a result of its acquisition of Synapsis Technology, Inc. (“Synapsis”) where
he served as director of Strategy and Business Development. While at Synapsis,
Fox also held positions in which he was responsible for lead generation, sales,
business development and consulting. He was also a management consultant at
Accenture and an engineering manager at Kulicke & Soffa Industries, Inc. Fox has
a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School, University
of Pennsylvania, and a master's degree in electrical engineering from the
University of Pennsylvania.
