Brazil's Dedini Selects Siemens Teamcenter
PLANO,
TX and SAO PAULO, Brazil, May 19, 2008 - Siemens PLM Software, a business
unit of Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider
of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced
that Dedini S/A Industries de Base selected Teamcenter software as its
engineering product data management platform to enhance efficiency and
collaboration.
Teamcenter, Siemens PLM Software’s digital lifecycle management solution
and the world’s most widely used PLM portfolio, will allow Dedini to better
manage product data throughout its engineering department. Teamcenter will
serve as the central repository of data for multiple existing systems. This
selection is the first step in Dedini’s corporate strategy to build a global
collaboration platform that manages all engineering data within a single
system to provide enhanced product development capacity and improve the
speed of innovation.
“The combination of Siemens, Siemens PLM Software and Teamcenter’s
exceptional capability made our decision easy,” said Pedro Anchieta, IT
Director, Dedini.” Teamcenter will provide the platform to manage a
single-source of engineering data, enabling us to enhance knowledge sharing
and collaboration throughout the enterprise.”
“We are pleased to have Dedini, one of Brazil’s leading companies, place
their trust and confidence in Siemens and Siemens PLM Software. We knew that
joining the Siemens’ family was the right choice and this win represents the
latest example of the unique power of our integration,” said Dave Shook,
senior vice president and managing director, Americas, Siemens PLM Software.
“Siemens PLM Software’s Teamcenter technology will enable Dedini to
consolidate enterprise-wide engineering data on a single open platform and
will provide a scalable solution that can grow with the company and enhance
innovation every step of the way.”
