Siemens PLM Ships Teamcenter Express cPDM v4.1

“Teamcenter Express Version 4.1’s new BMIDE Express tool streamlines system customization in a codeless and intelligent manner, for example by structuring customer defined extensions for easier future refinement,” said Peter Bilello, vice president of CIMdata. “Through the use of templates and wizards, system administrators can easily and quickly adapt the preconfigured cPDM environment delivered by Teamcenter Express to meet their specific needs without negatively impacting their ability to upgrade to future Teamcenter Express versions.”

BMIDE Express provides channel partners, implementation consultants and system administrators with a data model design and maintenance tool that enables the preconfigured environment delivered with Teamcenter Express to be easily modified to address diverse customer needs. This new tool streamlines the management of the attributes, items, datasets, forms, statuses, lists-of-values and tools that are the key building blocks of the cPDM environment. The tool is delivered with an “Express Project” that defines the preconfigured cPDM environment delivered by Teamcenter Express and records any changes made to this environment to meet specific customer needs.
