CENTRAL SCOTLAND, Aug 18, 2008 - ScotCAM Ltd., the Engineering software supplier based in Scotland have today announced 2 partnership deals to supply new software in the UK’s engineering marketplace. They have recently agreed deals with CIM Solutions who have developed QuoteCAM, an estimating software to help small to medium companies to estimate and prepare quotations for engineering components. And also with ProgeSOFT the Italian software developer who have developed ProgeCAD a CAD system that is compatibility with AutoCAD: and supports AutoCAD: DWG files from the version 2.5 to 2008 at a fraction of the cost.

QuoteCAM from CIM solutions has been designed to give small and medium, sized machine shops the kind of financial information that large manufacturers have had for years.

Unlike other estimating systems on the market QuoteCAM goes much deeper than simply calculating a cycle time. For example, use QuoteCAM to easily establish your shops overhead burden rate or to calculate exactly what a machine tool really does cost to own and operate.

And when you have a true cost of production use the Batch Analyzer to add your margins and refine your pricing with "what if" scenarios such as changing batch sizes and sub contract costs etc. to see how much your profit changes with each change.

The Italian company progeSOFT has been developing computer-aided design software for 18 years. The leading product of the company - progeCAD - is a full 2D/3D CAD powered by the most recent IntelliCAD Technology. progeCAD is unique due to its compatibility with supports DWG and DXF formats from AutoCAD versions 2.5 to 2007; offers DWG format as a native format of the progeCAD; has the familiar look of the interface, control panels, icons that make the software easy to use

Natalia Solotkova ProgeSOFTs press agent said today "Among lots of other progeSOFT initiatives the year of 2008 has been also dedicated to setting up a reseller in the United Kingdom. progeSOFT already won the hearts and loyalty of the British CAD users in the previous years due to its motto “High End Quality for a Low Price” and its realization. It could be well illustrated by the latest sales reports ( the 1st part of 2008) where the United Kingdom was found in one of the first place of the progeCAD sales list. Our next step to take is to win hearts and the loyalty of our new partners and to make our customers even closer to progeCAD, providing them with a better service and the possibility to get a quicker consultation and advice on their own territory. In this light it is a real pleasure to announce that progeSOFT has reached a partnership agreement with ScotCAM, a CAD/CAM software supplier with a vast experience in engineering. We are sure that our cooperation with ScotCAM will become mutually beneficial and it will help the UK customers get MORE convenience, MORE quality, MORE service and MORE trust in progeCAD and all this for LESS money than ever! "

Pat Loughrin Managing Director of ScotCAM is pleased with the new products and said “ By adding both QuoteCAM and ProgeCAD into our product range we can now offer customers an excellent selection of engineering software ranging from CAD-CAM and DNC Communications to CAD and Estimating software to help them improve their production times and also, more importantly, their profit. Both products are relatively inexpensive but they will make a huge contribution to customers without having a huge outlay”
