BATH, England, August 13, 2007 - Punch Press Services recommends industry-leading CAD/CAM software from Radan Computational to its customers, as the total solution for their sheet metal requirements.

The Sandbach, Cheshire based company has a long-standing relationship with Radan, recommending it to users of Rainer machinery for which it is UK agent as well as for customers of its second-hand sheet metal working machine tools.

"Our customers appreciate the ease of both the CAD/CAM system and training support we offer in tandem with sales of our CNC punching machines," explains Punch Press sales director Andy Naylor. "Radan's professional approach to the demonstration and installation of their software, gives us the confidence to partner them in providing a total service."

This partnership was recently highlighted when Punch Press and Radan sponsored an Audi RS4 in the Cannonball Run Europe in July, with Andy Naylor and managing director Len Holowko in the driving seat.

The six-day rally, which started on 12 July in Sandown Park, Surrey, involved 57 cars driving 3000 miles through eight European countries following written instructions handed out to all participants at each stop.

"We received our first mission at 2.30pm to drive to Dover for the 18.00 crossing to Dunkirk," explains Naylor. "Mission two was an 800-mile trip across France in heavy rain, to arrive at Lake Garda, Italy for breakfast."

The pair arrived at the destination for mission three Bratislavia, Slovakia in fifth place. Placements are based on average speeds and following the route provided by the organizers. The race moved on to Budapest followed by Berlin, Antwerp, Calais, and back to Dover with the Radan/Punch Press Audi finishing in 29th place out of 57 contestants.

"Not a bad result it was hard work but great fun," concludes Naylor. "We would love to do it again but not before next year!"

Punch Press Services offers machine installation, support and training on both refurbished CNC punching machines and new Rainer hydraulic and electric models, and software from Radan.
