Quickparts POWRsyringe Injector Gets Medical Design Award
 ATLANTA,
GA, July 16, 2008 - Quickparts, one of North America's largest providers of
custom designed parts, from rapid prototyping to production parts, recently
completed a project known as the POWRsyringe Injector for Pinyons Medical
Technology that won a prestigious Medical Design Excellence Award (MDEA).
The POWRsyringe Injector was named one of the finalists in the Medical
Design Excellence Award's General Hospital Devices and Therapeutics product
category. The annual award recognizes global medical device companies and
engineering teams for innovation and contributions to patient care. The
award jury consists of independent third-party physicians, biomedical
engineering professors, and practicing engineers.
Pinyons’ POWRsyringe also passed ISO 10993 biocompatibility and ISO 7886
syringe testing requirements.
