OrthoGraph Survey/Architect v1.1 Released
BUDAPEST,
Hungary, Jul 7, 2009 - New versions have just been released from the
OrthoGraph graphical products. The company OrthoGraph, listening to the user
requests focused its development on extending the on-site capabilities of
the graphical products, and to the compatibility with popular CAD systems.

The
new OrthoGraph Survey and Architect versions are now capable of creating a
report of measured areas, perimeters, and wall, door and window surfaces
on-site. The report can be run on one particular room, on a selection of
rooms or on a whole story. The results can be extremely useful for
calculating e.g. offers for paintings, flooring installations, door/window
replacement costs even on the spot.
Leica has released its new Disto D8 model that has many new functionality
(e.g. ± 1 mm/ ± 0.04 in accuracy, digital camera based pointfinder) for
on-site building surveys. The OrthoGraph 1.1 version works with the new
Leica laser distance meter keeping the support of the Leica Disto A6 model
as well.

The output of OrthoGraph graphical versions were extended with many new
popular formats (besides the existing DWG format):
- Google SketchUp native SKP file output,
- ArchiCAD native import file Add-On,
- JPG/GIF/PNG/BMP and other bitmap formats.
The new Google SkechUp format creates 3D wall surfaces with windows and
doors within them. Each surface can be selected by itself which allows users
to easily measure areas or change floor/wall finishes. These drawings can be
good basis of interior design works or for real estate agencies showing more
than just a floor plan.
The ArchiCAD integration is built up as an import Add-On of ArchiCAD
capable of loading OrthoGraph SRV files. The Add-On allows the user to
prepare a specific matching setup for OrthoGraph object representation. When
a particular ArchiCAD object matched with an OrthoGraph Object has a
parameter named similarly in both systems, then the measured data is
transferred into the ArchiCAD BIM model. This way the ArchiCAD integration
is not just about the floor-plan, but it generates a real BIM model with
doors/windows and parameterized objects as well.

Another new feature is the raster image JPG/PNG/GIF/BMP output of
OrthoGraph. These formats are required by on-line real-estate agent
websites. This way our users can get the on-site measured floor plan with
just one click into a format that can be easily uploaded onto any kind of
property websites.
The OrthoGraph 1.1 version can be tried out even on Windows XP/Vista by
downloading our PDA Emulator preinstalled version from our website. This way
OrthoGraph can be tried out even without having a PDA/Windows Mobile Phone.
Besides the many new features of OrthoGraph 1.1. the professional Survey
version is available with a discount till September 2009, on a price lower
than the half of its original price. Now the software together with a
Windows Mobile device costs less than OrthoGraph on its normal price.
