PETACH TIKVA, Israel,
Aug 14, 2008 - Eri Rubin of OptiTex is slated to speak at
NVISION 08’s
Emerging Companies Summit, session 121 on Tuesday, August 26, from 1:30-2:00

August 25-27 in San Jose.
“I’m excited and honored to address the Emerging Companies Summit,”
states Rubin, OptiTex’s Head of the CUDA Porting Project. “Addressing the
key players such as game developers and industry entrepreneurs under the
respected NVISION banner is a phenomenal opportunity for us.”
OptiTex
is already the premiere 2D and 3D CAD/CAM software for virtually all
sewn-products industries. It’s become such a “must have” that leading
educational institutions worldwide have begun training their students on its
user-friendly design and features.
Since launching its foray into the digital computing market, OptiTex
technology has already been leveraged by visionaries such as DAZ 3D.
DAZ|Studio 2.0 is empowered by the first-ever independent virtual cloth
solver for game developers and animators. Now anyone can load in the DAZ 3D
figure and clothing of their choice and experience real-world cloth
simulation, including the ability to quickly alter the clothing’s fabric
type, garment size, and style variations.
NVIDIA, a recognized leader in visual computing, has paired OptiTex’s
technology with its CUDATM Toolkit, a C language-development environment for
CUDA-enabled GPUs. The combination of OptiTex’s rich graphics and data
intensive computation and NVIDIA’s CUDA-enabled GPUs provides a
high-performance environment for animators and digital artists via the
integration of OptiTex cloth engine technology with the Modeling and
Animation packages.
“We bring a wealth of virtual textile experience to the gaming, feature
animation and digital effects industries,” states Alon Girmonsky, OptiTex’s
VP of Business Development. “Our products are second only to real life in
depicting fabric movement and dynamics.”
