Microspot Releases MacDraft Pro, Personal Edition v5.6

April 27, 2007 - Today Microspot Ltd. developers of 2D and 3D graphics and
photo applications, announced the release of version 5.6 of MacDraft
Professional and MacDraft Personal Edition which are now Universal Binaries
and are the first versions to run native on Intel powered Macintosh
computers. MacDraft Professional is a powerful 2D design, drafting and
technical illustration application that is affordable and designed for users
of all levels and MacDraft Personal Edition is an easy-to-use graphic design
solution to rival other vector based design tools on the market.
MacDraft was originally released in 1985 and has been constantly updated
over the last 22 Years. Both products still retain the ease of use of those
early applications like MacDraw and ClarisCAD but now have Quartz graphics,
transparency, superb text quality, 100 levels of undo and the ability to
import picture files in many different formats.
MacDraft personal Edition has an accurate, scaled drawing environment up
to 43 cm (17) square complete with tools for drawing lines, curves and
filled shapes and powerful text tools. Other features include the ability to
import pictures (BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and more), adjust the transparency of
all objects as well as export drawings as PDF's or many other picture
formats. MacDraft PE also contains sample documents and three symbol
libraries as examples for home, office and garden layouts. Whether you are

help you to effortlessly create floorplans, make technical diagrams, design
gardens, illustrate flowcharts, draw buildings and objects to scale and

drawing tools and both ANSI and international standard dimensioning
capabilities as well as linked dimensioning to automatically update
dimensions as you modify components. Its multi-layered, scaled drawing
environment supports both Imperial (feet/inches) and metric dimensions and
is compatible with AutoCAD DWG/DXF file formats.. Perfect for producing
simple sketches or complex drawings, MacDraft is excellent for mechanical,
