Matrox to Show Avio KVM Extender at SolidWorks World

MONTREAL, Canada, Feb 8, 2012 - Matrox Graphics announced today that its Avio KVM extender will be showcased at SolidWorks World 2012. At the show, Avio will demonstrate how a high-end workstation can be placed in a secure, climate-controlled machine room without compromising user experience. Avio’s uncompressed transmission of the workstation’s I/O signals maintains system performance at a remote location, a critical requirement of any 3D design and modeling application. Avio, comprising receiver and transmitter units, extends audio, USB, and uncompressed dual-display graphics over a single fiber-optic cable at distances up to 2 km. Resolutions up to 1920x1200 per display for a dual-display setup and 2560x1600 for a single-display setup are supported.

Avio is compatible with any graphics card, system, and operating system, making it an incredibly versatile extension solution for use with a wide variety of CAD and visualization applications. Its fanless design increases product reliability and helps eliminate noise from the work space. Avio yields exceptional image quality and graphics performance in order to run high-end 3D CAD applications like SolidWorks.
