Lightworks Author 8.2 Releases with Enhanced Rendering
 SHEFFIELD,
UK, Feb 09, 2010 - Lightworks, the world's leading supplier of rendering
solutions for developers of advanced 3D computer graphics software, today
announced the release of Lightworks Author 8.2 which includes enhanced
rendering functionality for customers. Screen Space Ambient Occlusion This
enhancement to the Real-time product enables the creation of more subtle
shadows in real-time. It brings greater image depth within Interactive
Real-time Rendering and adds an interactive global lighting effect to
interactive rendering.
Lightworks Real-time Ray Tracing This is a new, truly progressive,
photorealistic rendering method which gives users the early, photorealistic
previewing of lighting and materials as well as a better workflow. Real-time
Ray Tracing also incorporates enhanced anti-aliasing and more efficient
glossy materials.
Reflection Catcher This enhancement captures a reflection and associates
this with a model when added to a backplate. It allows reflections below
product style objects to be captured in a photorealistic render.
Multiple Lights in CgFX An enhancement within Lightworks Author 8.2
enables the support of multiple lights when carrying out CgFX rendering
