LightWork Releases Japanese Buildings Material Archives
Tostem, Matsushita Electric Works and KMEW building products now
available in LWA format
SHEFFIELD,
England, January 3, 2007 - LightWork Design, the world's leading supplier of
rendering solutions for developers of advanced 3D computer graphics
software, today announced the availability of building materials from the
major Japanese manufacturers, Tostem, Matsushita Electric Works and Kubota
Matsushitadenko Exterior Works (KMEW) in LWA digital material format.
These new LWA archives provide users of LWA-Enabled LightWorks-based
applications an even greater range of materials to incorporate within their
design work and their availability further reinforces the position of LWA as
the standard digital material format within Japan.
The new archives give architects and building designers the power to
accurately select, render and specify the materials from these suppliers.
The archives join the growing number of materials in LWA format and can be
downloaded free of charge from the LightWorks-User website at
www.lightworks-user.com.
Miyagoshi, Board Director of Fukui Computer Inc. commented, "Users of
ARCHITREND Z and Virtual House have been able to take advantage of LWA
materials for some time now and these new archives have been eagerly
anticipated. The access we have provided to LWA functionality allows our
customers to take immediate advantage of these new archives from LightWork
Design."
Clive Davies, Partner Program Manager at LightWork Design, added, "We are
very pleased to be able to offer the materials from these important Japanese
suppliers in the LWA format. Building Designers using LWA-enabled CAD
applications will benefit immediately from their availability."
The LWA format is a secure digital format, for use in LWA-Enabled
applications, which allows manufacturers and material suppliers to
accurately encode the visual and physical characteristics of their products,
which enables designers to accurately select, visualize and specify these
products during the design, modeling and styling processes.
