Lambda Releases TracePro 4.0 for Optical Modeling, Design
Littleton,
Massachusetts, January 25, 2007 - Lambda Research Corporation, a leading
supplier of optical design software, today announced availability of
TracePro 4.0, a foremost release of its software for optical modeling,
design and analysis.

Modeling of Fluorescence, Luminance and 3D surface textures in new release
of TracePro 4.0
TracePro 4.0 delivers number of new powerful capabilities addressing the
optical design challenges in variety of industry applications. Sampling of
those include fluorescence modeling for life sciences, photorealistic
rendering for accurate visualization of illumination designs and enhanced
modeling of 3D surface textures utilized in the design of LCD backlight
displays, projection systems, lightpipes and microarrays.
Additionally, TracePro users will benefit from a significant increase in
raytracing speed, major enhancements in the user interface and improved
translators for OSLO, Zemax, Code V enabling an easy import of lens designs
to TracePro.
TracePro 4.0 is complemented with an optimization module for automation of the
complex trial and error design steps when finding optimal luminaire, light
guide and reflector geometry for maximum light intensity and uniformity.
A new release of TracePro Bridge for SolidWorks, a seamless interface between
mechanical design and optical analysis, is being released simultaneously,
demonstrating Lambda Research’s commitment to software interoperability and
efficient management of optical and mechanical design workflows. The latest
release of TracePro Bridge addresses more complex models and offers users an
expanded database of optical material and surface properties.
TracePro 4.0 is being shipped to existing customers in January 2007.
