US CAD Acquires Pacific CADD, Opens Aiea, Hawaii Office
COSTA
MESA, CA, Oct 3, 2007 -U.S. CAD, Inc. (formerly L.A. CAD), one of the
Western U.S.’s largest providers of computer-aided design (CAD) consulting,
training and support services, and its largest Autodesk solutions reseller,
today announced it has acquired the assets of Aiea, Hawaii-based Pacific
CADD Services, Inc. The acquisition establishes an Oahu office for U.S. CAD,
from which it can serve the state’s growing civil, mechanical and
architectural design, building-engineering and geospatial industries, as
well as government agencies.
The Aiea office is U.S. CAD’s fourth location, joining the company’s
Costa Mesa, Calif., headquarters, and other facilities in Los Angeles and
San Diego.
“When we changed our name to U.S. CAD from L.A. CAD in August, we said it
would help us better serve our growing customer base across the western
United States,” said company CEO Danny Counts. “In addition to being a
world-class vacation destination, Hawaii has a dynamic business environment,
which increasingly requires the kinds of specialized CAD-related services
and products that U.S. CAD provides. We’re excited to expand our presence in
Hawaii in order to help our customers achieve more.”
“By acquiring Pacific CADD Services, U.S. CAD brings our client base
outside Hawaii an outlet for design-input production services for
construction documents and models utilizing Autodesk vertical technology,
additional contract labor for short- and long-term projects, and enhanced
CAD management services,” said Daniel Hebert, vice president of U.S. CAD.
“In turn, Pacific CADD’s clients will benefit from the many core strengths
of U.S. CAD. Wherever our clients are, they now have new options for
offloading CAD-related workloads without adding overhead.”
Founded in 1995, Pacific CADD Services, Inc. is a full-service CAD
consulting firm specializing in design-input production for construction
documents and models using Autodesk vertical technology, and in providing
technical contract labor proficient in Autodesk technology for architectural
and engineering firms. Pacific CADD also specializes in providing Autodesk
product training classes and technology-awareness campaigns, and CAD
management services and training.
“We are extremely excited about the amount of resources we can now
provide to the local Autodesk community,” said former Pacific CADD President
Yoshi Honda, who will now serve as director of U.S. CAD’s Hawaii operations.
“U.S. CAD brings to the marketplace a much-needed resource and a refreshing,
productive attitude from an Autodesk solutions provider.”
