COSTA
MESA, California,
March 1, 2007 - L.A. CAD, Inc., Southern California's largest provider of
computer-aided design (CAD) services and products, and the Western U.S.’s
largest reseller of Autodesk solutions, has appointed Jim Lambert project
manager for the company’s growing Civil 3D implementation business.
One of the top providers of Civil 3D implementations nationwide, L.A. CAD
is the only reseller asked by Autodesk to help formally define its current
Civil 3D implementation approach and standards. L.A. CAD is currently
assisting more than 30 firms in some stage of transition to the Civil 3D
technology, including several comprehensive implementation projects for
medium to large civil engineering firms. Lambert will help manage these and
other projects under development.
“The rapid adoption of Civil 3D and related technologies, and the
comprehensive nature of these technologies, demands that we provide an even
higher level of service to help our customers succeed,” said Daniel J.
Counts, CEO of L.A. CAD. “Our customers understand the importance of having
rock-solid project managers within their own firms. In Jim Lambert, they
have that same high level of expertise and leadership, backed by L.A. CAD’s
proven track record of helping customers implement beneficial new
technologies.“
Lambert brings 24 years of CAD, engineering and project management
experience to L.A. CAD. Having worked for several years as a civil designer,
he recently served as director of technical operations for one of Southern
California’s largest publicly held “Engineering News-Record 500”
architecture and engineering firms. In this capacity he managed a number of
company-wide initiatives, including major software implementations,
multi-office application training, and corporate CAD standards and
best-practices development and deployment.
In addition to Civil 3D Implementations, Lambert will manage several
other L.A. CAD activities, including implementation of emerging Autodesk
technologies such as Revit Building, Revit Structure, Revit Systems and the
data management components of Autodesk Vault and Autodesk Product Stream for
Inventor. Lambert will help manage L.A. CAD and customer resources to ensure
successful attainment of project milestones and objectives. He also will
assist with consulting contracts involving production services, including
custom programming, scanning and conversion projects, and drafting/design
input services.
