MARLBOROUGH, MA, July 9, 2008 - Kubotek announces the availability of the service pack release KeyCreator 7.5.3 for customers with active maintenance. The 7.5.3 downloads are available now from the Kubotek support area.

Issues Corrected

The Service Pack release 7.5.3 adds several minor File Management enhancements and corrects 8 issues from the KeyCreator 7.5.2 release. To check which version is currently installed use the Help>About function in the KeyCreator pull-down menu.

File Management Enhancements

New File Import CSV function creates point entities from ASCII text files
New File Import PDF function creates shell entities from 3D data in PDF files
Import SolidWorks updated to support SolidWorks 2008 files
Import Autodesk Inventor updated to support version 11 IAM files
Import and Export Parasolid updated to support version 19
Import CATIA V4 and V5 support workplane entities
Assemblies Export function supports Parasolid files

Downloading KeyCreator 7.5.3

Start by logging into the support area. The SUPPORT button is in the far right of the top menu of the Kubotek home page. Once logged in, select the DOWNLOADS option in menu on the left. Look for the KEYCREATOR download links in the top center of the Downloads page.

Option 1, Program – ~265 MB Full Install

The KeyCreator Full Install Version 7.5.3 can not be installed if 7.5.0 or 7.5.2 has already been installed on the PC. The previous version 7.5 program must be removed before using the Full Install (Use Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs).

Option 2, Service Pack – ~19 MB Patch

The KeyCreator Service Pack Version 7.5.3 will convert a KeyCreator 7.5.2 installation into a 7.5.3 installation. Note the 7.5.3 patch can only patch KeyCreator V7.5.2 and can not be applied to previous versions (such as v7.5, 7.0.3, v6.5.2 or any other release).

Depending on the license level numbers of an existing license (check Help About from KeyCreator menu), 7.5.3 may run using the same license file as the previous 7.0.x and 7.5 releases. If the existing license level is 8.05 (read as May 2008) or older a new license will need to be obtained by logging into your Kubotek account.

Version 7.5.3 uses the same CKD file format as 7.5.2 and 7.5 but these versions do represent a change from the 7.0.x versions. Earlier versions of KeyCreator will not read V7.5 CKD files.
