ITI TranscenData Releases CADIQ v6.0 for Analysis
MILFORD,
OH, Mar 10, 2009 – ITI TranscenData is pleased to announce the availability
of CADIQ Version 6.0, an analytical software application that verifies the
manufacturability of 3D CAD models throughout the lifecycle of a product.
Companies that use CADIQ realize significant cost savings associated with
engineering changes, manual inspection of CAD, manufacturing delays caused
by added works-in-process, and wasted materials.
Variances in CAD system releases, turnover in engineering resources, and
unintentional changes resulting from design revisions, translations, or
remodeling, pose serious risks to downstream users who rely on the accuracy of
CAD data for manufacturing. CADIQ identifies unmanufacturable conditions within
a part or assembly, and validates the accuracy of models that have been revised,
translated, remodeled, or migrated to a new CAD system release.
CADIQ Version 6.0 Enhancements
CADIQ 5.1 customers that upgrade to Version 6.0 will benefit from a number of
enhancements, including:
- Updated quality and comparison analysis based on advanced face matching
- 3D PDF report creation with custom views, diagnostic highlights, and
synchronized side-by-side graphical views
- Feature parameter comparison for design revisions
- Assembly structure quality diagnostics
- Transparency highlighting graphics display option
- Expanded and reformatted help documentation
- 3D mouse support for Space Ball & Explorer
- Improved batch analysis performance with CAD session reuse
- Pro/ENGINEER nested family tables support
- Additional tooling diagnostics
- Support for CATIA V4.2.5, CATIA V5R19, Siemens NX 6, NX I-deas 6,
Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 and Parasolid 19
Explore CADIQ’s 3D PDF Reporting Capability
With CADIQ Version 6.0, users can publish CADIQ results using 3D PDF
technology by Adobe Systems. This capability allows any non-CADIQ user to view
CADIQ results with the free Adobe Reader. The CADIQ-generated PDF report can be
opened with either Adobe Acrobat Version 8.0 or Acrobat Pro Extended, to allow
the user to edit and/or mark-up the CADIQ file. These markups can also be opened
by users of the free Adobe Reader.
Figure 1 is a screenshot of a 3D PDF report depicting side-by-side results of
a validation analysis. The user can spin the model around, change views and add
Adobe Acrobat markups to this document. In this example, the highlighted face
deviation was missed during manual inspection. This issue would have caused this
part to not fit properly within the parent assembly, resulting in a
manufacturing delay.
