Rapidform Names Chader as VP, Promotes Charron to COO
SUNNYVALE,
California, April 3, 2007 - Rapidform Inc., the exclusive licensor of
Rapidform 3D scanning software in the Americas, today announced that Martin
(Marty) Chader has joined the company as vice president of business
development, and Tom Charron has been promoted to COO. The additions to the
executive management team support the company's evolution, growth and
strategic industry partnerships.
Chader brings over 16 years of experience in the 3D scanning industry,
most recently as head of Konica Minolta's 3D Scanning business unit.
Spearheading the growth of the company's Vivid line of laser scanners, this
industry pioneer has been instrumental in the development of the 3D scanning
market in North and South America. Having been a Rapidform strategic partner
in his previous role, Chader is well-versed on the company's products and
plans. "What drew me to Rapidform was their advancement of 3D scanning
software to the next level-fulfilling the promise of native, parametric CAD
models from scan data. I've had a unique position to become familiar with
all the major inspection and reverse engineering software tools, and none of
them matches Rapidform's utility. Clearly, I am excited about the
opportunities that this progressive company offers," stated Chader.
As vice president of business development, Chader's primary
responsibility is to create and strengthen partnerships with scanning
hardware companies and key accounts. Delivering personal, high-level
attention, Chader will work with those that share the strategic vision of
leveraging 3D scanning technology for design, manufacturing and quality
control.
"Marty Chader's experience in the 3D scanning industry is important to
Rapidform as it builds strong relationships with our strategic partners. He
has seen the relationship from the hardware manufacturer's point of view, so
he brings the voice of our partners into our decision-making process. His
addition demonstrates our company's commitment to long-term alliances with
vendors and key accounts," said Simon (Seockhoon) Bae, CEO of Rapidform Inc.
and INUS Technology.
Separately, Tom Charron has been appointed COO. Charron, who established
the U.S. office of INUS Technology and coordinated the transition to an
independent corporation, was previously the company's director of sales and
marketing. His primary role is to oversee direct sales, marketing, support
and operations while accelerating Rapidform's growth. Charron will also work
closely with Chader on partner relationships.
Bae commented, "Tom Charron has been instrumental in building the
foundation for Rapidform, Inc.'s success. His promotion reflects the duties
and responsibilities that he has capably assumed over the past five years."
"We are forging new relationships with other innovators in the marketplace
to provide best-of-breed solutions to a rapidly growing customer base.
Hiring Marty and promoting Tom supports our philosophy of progress and
innovation. We are growing rapidly, and this team gives us the strength to
continue growth and move forward," stated Bae.
