Japan's Nihon Unisys Joins Rapidform Partner Program
SEOUL,
South Korea, Apr 1, 2008 - INUS Technology, Inc., the developer of Rapidform
3D scanning software, announced that Nihon Unisys Excelutions(Tokyo, Japan),
a prominent software developer of CAD/CAM products for mold and die making,
has joined the Rapidform partner program.
Shoichi Miyabe, sales manager at Nihon Unisys Excelutions, stated, "Using
our 3DCAD/CAM products and Rapidform 3D scanning software together will
bring molding companies high productivity. With our Rapidform partnership,
we can meet the growing demand from our customers for the tools to verify
and reverse engineer their molds. Moreover, Rapidform products support our
efforts to extend our business into the design field."
Shoichi noted that a review of available 3D scanning software tools
showed Rapidform to be the best for the company's market. "Rapidform XOR™
analyzes the accuracy of the scan data when compared to the CAD model, and
it generates editable CAD features. Its product design orientation makes it
a very productive tool," Shoichi said.
Seeking to expand beyond traditional markets is something that both
companies share. Calvin J. Hur, INUS' senior vice president of marketing &
global sales, stated, "We are eager to aggressively expand our customer base
into the mainstream PLM market through partnerships with CAD/CAM-oriented
companies like Nihon Unisys Excelutions."
Hur continued, "Rapidform is the de-facto industry standard 3D scanning
software in Japan. As a market leader, we believe that INUS plays a pivotal
role in effectively positioning 3D scanning as a standard practice in the
product design and manufacturing process."
