INUS Releases Rapidform XOV2/Verifier
SEOUL,
South Korea, Mar 16, 2009 - INUS Technology, Inc., announces the release
Rapidform XOV/Verifier2, with first shipments to occur on March 23, 2009. XOV2
is uniquely CAD-Friendly and easy to use. There are no macros to write, no
coding to be done, the user simply opens any 3D CAD file, and lays out the
inspection plan step by step. Each step is automatically recorded in an
Inspection Plan List (IPL) for subsequent, one-button execution on the shop
floor. Want to change an alignment or a tolerance? Simply select the step to be
changed from within the IPL, make the change and the plan and results are
updated without re-inspecting the part.
Rapidform XOV2 provides CAD deviation analysis and geometric dimensioning &
tolerancing (GD&T). Tolerances and datum features may be entered manually, or
may be imported directly from CAD via XOV's PMI (Product Manufacturing
Information) translators. Making a report is as easy and familiar as creating a
document in Microsoft word. XOV2 is suited for professional metrology-level
inspection applications, with a rich feature set, including:
- CAD-like Intuitive User Interface for easy learning, plan
creation/editing and executing
- No Coding, No Macros, Automate Every Inspection without programming
- Supports both Scanner and Probe based inspection
- Auto-Alignment based on Feature Recognition, for proven better
repeatability
- PMI Import from CAD: Siemens NX, CATIA, and Pro/E , no redundant data
entry
- CAD-style, GD&T definition (ANSI Y14.5B) where PMI is not available
- 2D Drawing-based Inspection support, 3D inspection from 2D documentation
- Smart Import from external Tolerance Tables
Dr. Calvin Hur, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Global Sales for INUS
Technology, states; "The feedback from our Beta users has been overwhelming.
XOV2 is so intuitive, that we have been able to halve our training time; our
customers are productive after one day! We have invested all of the broad wisdom
and experience of our staff & consultants, our partners and our customers into
XOV2. As a result, XOV2 is proving itself to be that elegant combination of
simplicity and power, for both sample and on-line inspection applications.
Rapidform XOV2 enhances the usefulness of 3D scanning combined with probing, in
the steady march to become the way dimensional inspection is done."
