HUNTSVILLE,
AL, June 5, 2008 - Martin T. Ammann Jr. of Shaw Stone & Webster has been
awarded "Best of Show" in the annual Intergraph Golden Valve Awards
competition for his stunning 3D power plant model created with SmartPlant
Enterprise engineering software combined with an actual overhead plant
picture.
The Golden Valve Awards competition is sponsored by Intergraph and is
open to all SmartPlant Enterprise engineering software users. The winners
were announced in Las Vegas at Intergraph 2008, its annual international
users conference. Ammann’s submission titled "Mercer" won over the more than
85 entries in this year’s competition.
Gerhard Sallinger, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine division president,
said, "As seen from the outstanding array of this year’s entries, the Golden
Valve competition continues to elicit and elevate interest worldwide in
SmartPlant Enterprise engineering software. More winners than ever before
used SmartPlant 3D and SmartMarine 3D, our next-generation design solutions
for the process, power and marine industries, to create their entries. It is
gratifying to know our customers are not only boosting productivity,
reducing project schedules and ensuring data accuracy across the facility
life cycle, but that they also are willing to share their innovation with
their peers through this competition."
SmartPlant Enterprise is a comprehensive product suite of next-generation
