Intergraph Draws 5,000 Attendees to 2011 Conferences
HUNTSVILLE,
AL, Jan 13, 2012 - Intergraph attracted 5,500 delegates to its global series of 2011 user group
conferences for the process, power and marine industries. User conferences were
held in 25 countries on six continents and drew the highest attendance ever for
the annual sessions.The conferences featured the latest releases from the
SmartPlant and SmartMarine Enterprise portfolios, Intergraph CADWorx &
Analysis Solutions and Leica Geosystems’ Smart Scanning solutions, offering
attendees unprecedented scope and value. The global theme, “Building a
Smarter World,” demonstrated how Intergraph technology empowers
organizations to improve their business through industry-specific
technologies that make processes and infrastructure better, safer and
smarter.
Hexagon’s inaugural international users’ conference, Hexagon 2011, was
held at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Fla., in June
and drew more than 750 Intergraph Process, Power & Marine users. Hexagon
2012 is slated for June 4-7, 2012, at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev.
Eight Intergraph user conferences were held in six Asia-Pacific (APAC)
countries in 2011 and attracted approximately 2,000 process, power and
marine delegates, the highest attendance total ever for user conferences in
the region. The APAC events were in China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea,
Thailand and the Australian cities of Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane during
July and August. The highest-attended APAC conference was Intergraph 2011
Japan, a two-day event that attracted 404 PP&M users.
The Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMIA) user conferences also
attracted the highest attendance ever for that region. More than 1,200
delegates attended sessions in 13 countries.
EMIA user group conferences were held in Benelux, Finland, France,
Germany, India, Italy, Kuwait, Norway, Spain, South Africa, Ukraine, the
United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom in September, October and
November. A two-day event in Mannheim, Germany, in November was attended by
approximately 300 Intergraph Process, Power & Marine users from the power,
oil and gas, offshore, shipbuilding, mining and materials handling
industries.
In the Americas region, Intergraph 2011 PP&M Canada in Calgary, Alberta,
in September was attended by a record 149 delegates. Four Latin America
sessions were held in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela and attracted
nearly 250 users of Intergraph solutions.
Users of Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis Solutions attended the fourth
annual CADWorx & Analysis University 2011 in Houston in September. That
event, along with three Intergraph CAESAR II User Group meetings in Houston
in 2011, attracted 230 total participants.
