Hexagon to Sell PolyWorks with ROMER Arms, 3D Digitizer
QUEBEC CITY, QC,
Apr 28, 2008 - InnovMetric Software Inc, and Hexagon Metrology SAS
(Montoire, France) announced today the signature of a partnership agreement
for the distribution of the PolyWorks software suite, the universal 3D
metrology software platform for manufacturing applications. Under the terms
of this agreement, Hexagon Metrology SAS will distribute, throughout his
ROMER Division in France, PolyWorks bundled with ROMER arms and 3D
digitizer systems. The agreement extends to all of Europe for the
distribution of Hexagon Metrology SAS’s systems that combine the Sigma arm’s
Family, the G-Scan or R-Scan scanner, and the PolyWorks software.
“We are proud of this agreement with Hexagon Metrology SAS, which will
enable us to combine our 3D metrology software with the popular line of
ROMER arms and scanners manufactured in Montoire,” said Marc Boulanger,
Director of Worldwide Sales at InnovMetric Software Inc. “This partnership
will also allow Hexagon Metrology SAS to offer to its many customers in the
automotive and aeronautic industries that own a ROMER portable CMM the
opportunity to add a G-Scan scanner and the PolyWorks software, and benefit
from the various advantages of non-contact inspection using high-density
point clouds.”
“We are excited about the establishment of this partnership with
InnovMetric Software Inc.,” said Romain Granger, Director of the ROMER
Factory at Hexagon Metrology SAS. “The PolyWorks 3D metrology software has
become the reference among the European manufacturers and suppliers in the
automotive and aeronautic industries, thanks to its powerful
point-cloud-based parts analysis tools. This agreement also gives us access
to the PolyWorks support team located in Paris, and it allows us to
effectively complement our offer of portable CMMs to our targeted client
base.”
