Infotech Offers Draft Angle Analysis Plug-in
for SpinFire
LEONBERG,
Germany, Sep 1, 2009 - Infotech Enterprises GmbH, a leading provider of
digital design communication solutions, announced that a new version of the
Draft Angle Analysis plug-in is available now. This plug-in, developed by
Actify, gives the possibility to find out if parts can be manufactured.

This functionality is essential for mold making and tooling. Draft angles
are used to make sure that a part can be released from the mold without
distortion or damage. The draft angles have to be large enough to allow the
release from the mold but small enough to avoid altering of the geometry.
Draft Angle Analysis plug-in for SpinFire Professional
For some time already, the CAD visualization solution SpinFire
Professional offers a Draft Angle Analysis module, which is unique among CAD
viewers. This function allows users to control one or more parts in an
assembly directly within their SpinFire application. With different color
shades for the drafts, it is easy to see if the part can be manufactured.
New functions of the latest version
With the latest version of this plug-in, users now have the possibility
to find out more easily if a part can be manufactured. New in this version
is the possibility to select single parts of an assembly or single surfaces.
In addition to the already proven analyzing tools, users can now state a
minimum/maximum draft angle, and set parting lines.
Tooling concepts and manufacturing technology can already be checked in
the development stage and prototypes and tedious verification can be
eliminated.
